“Simply put, I’ve been sketching as early as the age of six and I never really stopped.”
My name is Berndt Heidemann and I am a desert native that graduated from Palm Desert High School and went on to study art at the University of California Santa Barbara. At the end of a summer internship in Hollywood, California, I managed to secure a job within the Art Department of Paramount Studios, working on a variety of motion picture and television projects. After a decade of work in the entertainment industry, I decided to return home to Palm Springs, in 2013, and begin the career of an independent artist. I have sold my paintings to clients and shipped throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Local sales include: The Madison Club, The Vintage Club, Bighorn C.C., Desert Horizons C.C., The Hideaway, Andalusia, PGA West, Mission Hills C.C., Parc Andreas, Desert Palisades, Thunderbird C.C., The Springs C.C., Morningside C.C., Mirada Estates, Indian Ridge C.C., Ironwood C.C., Southridge, The Movie Colony, Rancho & Vista Las Palmas, The Mesa, as well as private homes from the tip of Palm Springs to the end of Coachella.
Currently, I work with a number of interior designers and show throughout the desert. A portion of my work is on display at 849 Restaurant in downtown Palm Springs.
